The event took place at The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi.\nThis unprecedented visit, one of the first by the College of Commissioners in the new mandate, underscores the growing momentum in EU-India relations. It follows the announcement of a new strategic agenda to be presented at the upcoming EU-India Summit.\nPresident von der Leyen highlighted Europe’s commitment to openness and partnership in an increasingly competitive global context, describing India as “one of our most trusted friends and allies.” The visit reaffirmed the shared values of democracy, cooperation, and mutual prosperity, with a focus on advancing trade, economic security, resilient supply chains, technology, and defence collaboration.\nFor ISCC, being present at such a high-level gathering reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering stronger economic and institutional ties between India and the EU.\n
