  • Talgo takeover: Brussels raises no objection to Spanish veto of Hungarian bid The decision of the Spanish government to veto the Hungarian takeover of Talgo, a domestic manufacturer of high-speed trains, has received the implicit endorsement of the European Commission, which traded carefully as the news, charged with a geopolitical dimension, continues to make headlines.

    “The prerogative of such decisions lies with member states,” a Commission spokesperson said on Thursday afternoon, asked about the failed transaction.

  • Roca Group Acquires the German Company Innotec to strengthen its sanitary installation systems business Roca Group, a world leader in the design, production, and marketing of bathroom products, has acquired Innotec Systemelemente GmbH, German manufacturer of modular solutions for integrating structural elements in the bathroom.

    The purchase has been completed through Sanitärtechnik Eisenberg GmbH, the German subsidiary of Roca Group specialist in bathroom installation systems.

  • Airbus to double sourcing from India to $2 billion over next couple of year European aerospace giant Airbus expects its component and services sourcing from India to nearly double to $2 billion annually over the next couple of years as the company’s engagement with the country is “gaining a new momentum” at a time when the aerospace and defence industry is taking off in India, Airbus India and South Asia President & Managing Director Rémi Maillard said Thursday. Airbus currently sources components and services worth 1 billion euros ($1.08 billion) from India.
  • Carl Zeiss invests ₹2,500 crore in new lens manufacturing facility in India BENGALURU : Carl Zeiss India, the Indian arm of German optics, opto-electronics, lenses and medical technology brand Carl Zeiss, said it would start production of lenses in India from June 2025. The firm has acquired 35 acres of land from the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board and is readying a lens manufacturing facility at an investment of ₹2,500 crore.
  • GreenH Electrolysis unveils 1 MW PEM electrolyser to fuel India’s first hydrogen train New Delhi: In a significant advancement in India’s green energy initiatives, GreenH Electrolysis a joint venture between H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies and GR Promoter Group inaugurated a 1 MW PEM Electrolyser at its manufacturing facility in Jhajjar, Haryana.
