On 28th February 2025, ISCC took part in the meeting held during the  visit of Ms. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and the EU College of Commissioners to India. The event took place at The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi.

This unprecedented visit, one of the first by the College of Commissioners in the new mandate, underscores the growing momentum in EU-India relations. It follows the announcement of a new strategic agenda to be presented at the upcoming EU-India Summit.

President von der Leyen highlighted Europe’s commitment to openness and partnership in an increasingly competitive global context, describing India as “one of our most trusted friends and allies.” The visit reaffirmed the shared values of democracy, cooperation, and mutual prosperity, with a focus on advancing trade, economic security, resilient supply chains, technology, and defence collaboration.

For ISCC, being present at such a high-level gathering reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering stronger economic and institutional ties between India and the EU.
