• Antolin India’s Chakan hub to employ 200 in 2 yrs Pune: Automobile major Antolin India inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Chakan. With a team of over 200 employees in two years, the factory is Antolin’s first lighting, HMI systems and electronics facility in India. Using cutting-edge processes and technologies, the company will produce advanced solutions and components for its largest customers in the Indian market; specifically, Tata, Suzuki, Toyota, Mahindra, and Skoda-VW.
• ACCIONA Energía to build new solar plant in India ACCIONA Energía announced today that it will build a new 412MWp photovoltaic project in the state of Rajasthan, India, with commissioning planned by 2025. The solar farm will consist of around 750,000 photovoltaic modules of 545Wp each. It will produce around 800GWh of green electricity per year, enough to power 840,000 households, and will avoid the emission of 724,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.
• Sopra Steria establishes itself in Canada Paris, April 11, 2024 – Sopra Steria, a major player in the tech industry, announces its establishment in Canada. Sopra Steria aims to better support the needs of its aerospace clients already established there by expanding the presence of its Aeroline vertical teams. “The establishment of a Sopra Steria subsidiary in Canada marks a significant milestone in the development of our Aeroline vertical.

• EBRD recognizes CaixaBank with its ‘2023 Deal of the Year Green Trade’ awards in the ‘Circular economy’ and the ‘Renewable energy’ categories The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has recognized CaixaBank for its commitment to sustainability in the field of financing with multilaterals with two international awards. The international institution has awarded two foreign trade financing operations within its ‘2023 Deal of the Year – Green Trade’ awards in the categories of ‘Circular economy’ and ‘Renewable energy’.

• Rhenus India advances sustainable logistics capabilities with electric vehicle (EV) trucks and partnership with Brenntag SINGAPORE: leading global logistics service provider Rhenus Group launches EV trucks to augment local distribution support and extend its existing logistics services for Brenntag. Discussions are also on the future partnership plans to include Air and Ocean freight, enhancing local distribution movements and other value-added services.  Brenntag is a global market leader in chemicals and ingredient distribution.

• CCI approves combination involving acquisition in IRB Infrastructure Trust and MMK Toll Road by Cintra New Delhi [India], June 4 (ANI): The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the proposed combination involving the acquisition in IRB Infrastructure Trust and MMK Toll Road Private Limited by Cintra, as per a release from the competition regulator. Cintra InvIT Investments B.V. and Cintra IM Investments B.V. are the acquirers.  The Acquirers are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Cintra Global S.E., which have been incorporated in the Netherlands for the purpose of the proposed combination and belong to the Ferrovial group.
• Spain-based Roca Group to invest Rs 400 crore in Tamil Nadu Chennai: Roca Group, a Spain-based global leader in sanitaryware manufacturing, has made an investment commitment of 400 crore in Tamil Nadu. The decision was made known after ROCA global director Carlos Velazquez and Roca India managing director K Nirmal Kumar held a meeting with chief minister M K Stalin in Madrid, Spain.

  • Meeting:    Federation of European Business in India (FEBI) invited ISCC members to a closed-door roundtable discussion on EU-India Trade and Investment Relations – Challenges and Opportunities with the Ambassador of the European Union to India, H.E. Hervé Delphin. The event took place in Bangalore on 20th March’ 2024 to further the series of interactions with European companies initiated since FEBI’s establishment in 2023.
  • Business Breakfast Meeting:  ISCC organized a Business Breakfast focused on the “European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC) in India: Working Lines and Value Addition to ISCC Members.” The session was led by Mr. Poul V. Jensen, Managing Director at EBTC.  This meeting took place in Delhi on 22nd March’ 2024.

• Webinar:  ISCC shared a webinar with its members on behalf of LaLiga, promoting their inaugural Extra Time webinar series. The collaborative event featured a distinguished panel including the President of Sevilla FC, the COO of JSW Sports, and the General Manager of FSDL (Reliance Sports, ISL) on 14th May’ 2024.
• Event: ISCC organized a panel discussion on collaboration opportunities with the state of Maharashtra and India, followed by a cocktail and dinner in Mumbai on 15^th May’ 2024.
• Event:  ISCC participated in a meeting with international partners and foreign trade chambers for the launch of the Indo-German Platform for Global Renewable Energy Investments – “RE-INVEST 2024”. Mr. Bhupinder Bhalla from India’s MNRE and Mr. Jochen Flasbarth from Germany’s BMZ agreed on establishing the platform to foster investments in renewable energies worldwide. This event took place in Delhi on 17^th May’ 2024.

• Webinar:  ISCC organized a webinar in collaboration with Trilegal on “International Commercial Arbitration in India and Spain – Enforcement of Awards & Provisional Measures.” Webinar organized on 30^th May’ 2024.
• Fireside Chat: ISCC extends an exclusive invitation to its members to join a Fireside Chat hosted by the European Business Group (EBG). The session will delve into the pivotal role of major international banks in advancing global trade and investment, in Delhi on 6th June’ 2024.
• Roadshow:  ISCC invites its members to join the upcoming IRDAI Roadshow in collaboration with the Indo German Chamber of Commerce. Organized by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), this event highlights the expanding prospects within the Indian insurance sector.  This Roadshow took place in Zurich on 17^th June’ 2024.
• Event:  ISCC organized the event ‘Spain/EU – India & Karnataka Economic Corridor’ focused on investment opportunities in Karnataka and India. Held in Bangalore on June 25, 2024, the event featured insightful discussions followed by networking during Cocktails and Dinner.
