  • ACCIONA Energía acquires Cable Energía and expands EV charging network in Spain and Portugal ACCIONA Energía has taken a significant step in its electric mobility strategy by acquiring Cable Energía, the company that owns and operates Shell Recharge network in Spain and Portugal, outside of Shell’s service stations. With this acquisition, ACCIONA Energía strengthens its presence in the electric mobility sector, expanding its EV charging infrastructure across high-traffic and high-demand locations and accelerating the deployment of a smart, renewable-powered infrastructure.
  • Celsa Group welcomes new Spanish investor CriteriaCaixa, a Barcelona, Spain-based investment holding company that manages the business assets of a foundation known as “la Caixa,” has reached a preliminary agreement to acquire a stake in the capital of Celsa Group, a Spain-based producer of recycled-content steel made in electric arc furnaces (EAFs). The board of directors of Celsa Group has had negotiations intended to lead to CriteriaCaixa becoming a shareholder of approximately 20 percent of the company, and the company expects the transaction to be finalized in the coming weeks.
  • Roca Wins 2 Red Dot and 3 iF Design Awards The brand also received special recognition for overall brand quality at Plus X award. Roca has received major international recognition for its design leadership in 2025, winning two Red Dot Design Awards and three iF Design Awards for its latest bathroom collections and architectural projects. Winning entries include the Ohtake and Meridian collections, the Flow-T shower system and the Roca São Paulo Gallery. In addition, Roca was awarded the prestigious Plus X Award for Excellent Brand Quality.
  • Dharampal Satyapal Group crosses Rs 10,000 crore in revenue The Dharampal Satyapal (DS) group crossed Rs 10,000 crore in revenue for the financial year 2024-25 led by its food and beverage segment, the company said in a statement. The maker of Catch spices and flavoured water, Pulse candy and Pass Pass confectionery, said its food and beverages segment contributed 42% to its total revenue, followed by mouth fresheners at 38%. It said tobacco, “once central to its identity”, now constitutes less than 10% of its turnover. Other sectors, such as hospitality, dairy, and retail which include L’Opera and Le Marche chains, make up the remaining share, the company said.

  • Spain Eyes Catapult-fitted Aircraft Carrier with Navantia as NATO Urges Greater Defense Investment On June 25, 2025, Navantia’s CATOBAR aircraft carrier project for the Spanish Navy officially entered public discussion, signaling a historic transformation in Spain’s maritime posture. As reported by EFE, this conventionally powered carrier marks Spain’s first attempt to field a catapult-equipped platform for fixed-wing naval aviation, drawing comparisons with the French Charles de Gaulle. With the retirement of the EAV-8B Harrier II looming and no formal procurement of F-35Bs, Spain is embracing CATOBAR as a leap forward.

This milestone confirms their ongoing efforts to optimize energy use and improve efficiency across the board.
  • Spain’s Zelestra gains an extra $280 million in financing for renewable energy projects Spain’s Zelestra has secured a €235 million ($277 million) increase to anexisting loan scheme which will help it develop renewable energyprojects in Europe, the U.S and elsewhere, Chief Executive Leo Moreno told Reuters. Owned by Swedish investment firm EQT and previously known asSolarpack, Zelestra has been expanding beyond solar power to wind energy and storage assets.

  • Summit ISCC shared an invitation with its members for the Bangladesh Investment Summit in Dhaka, themed ‘Unlocking Investment Opportunities in the Energy Sector.’ The summit offered exclusive access to government officials, industry leaders, and EU financing opportunities, and was held from 7 – 10th April’ 2025.
  • Update:  ISCC shared an update on R&D partnership interests under the CDTI-DST bilateral call. Indian and Spanish companies explored collaboration in areas like electric mobility, AI, bioplastics, and disaster monitoring. Spanish firms such as Scandic Medical, Mecwins, and Digital Anatomics sought Indian partners. The call remained open until 20th May 2025. The communication was shared on 8th April’ 2025.
  • Event:   ISCC attended the graduation ceremony of the Task Force on Gender Sensitisation at the Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi. Hosted by Ambassador Jan Thesleff, the event concluded the Kraftsamla initiative by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce India, promoting gender justice and safe workplaces. The ceremony was held on 10th April’ 2025.
  • Summit Joiel Akilan, Director at the Indo-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, spoke at the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor Summit 2025 in Mumbai. The summit highlighted IMEC’s role in promoting sustainable development and enhancing regional trade connectivity. The event was held on 28th April’ 2025.
  • Governing Board Meeting:  ISCC participated in the 3rd Governing Board Meeting of EU Chambers, held online. The meeting took place on 5th May’ 2025.
  • Event:  ISCC organized a Wine Tasting event in Delhi, bringing together members and guests for an evening of fine wines and networking. The event was held on 8th May’ 2025.
  • Board Meeting:  ISCC was invited to attend the online FEBI Board Meeting. The meeting took place on 9th May’ 2025.
  • Update:    ISCC shared FEBI updates on deferred and upcoming Quality Control Orders (QCOs), including policy clarifications on testing requirements and transition timelines from the Ministry of Commerce on 23rd May’ 2025.
  • Service:  ISCC provided services to a Spanish company in relation to a legal dispute, which were completed on 28th May’ 2025.
  • Event: ISCC shared an invitation with members of the European Business Group for an exclusive session on “The India–United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement,” organized in collaboration with British Telecom at Gymkhana, Delhi, on 4th June’ 2025.
  • Event: ISCC hosted a Networking Conclave in Mumbai featuring expert panelists, members, and business leaders, including a panel discussion on the “Impact of Emerging Geo-Politics on European Trade Investments in India,” at Wodehouse Gymkhana, Mumbai, on 6th June’ 2025.

  • Update: ISCC shared FEBI’s Position Papers on Digital Technology and the Automotive Sector with its members, highlighting opportunities for EU-India collaboration. The papers provided key insights into India’s digital growth and the untapped trade potential in the automotive industry. Shared on 17th June’ 2025.
  • High tea:  ISCC invited its Spanish member companies from Maharashtra to a high tea networking event organized by FEBI at St. Regis Hotel, Mumbai. The session focused on EU-India FTA discussions, FEBI’s initiatives, and featured interactions with EU businesses, including remarks by Mr. Petros Sourmelis from the EU Delegation to India. Held on 18th June’ 2025.
  • Event: ISCC was invited to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Green Hydrogen between the Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2) and the Hydrogen Association of India (HAI), held at the Residence of the Ambassador of Spain in Delhi on 19th June’ 2025.
  • Member Survey:  ISCC shared an initiative by member company M+V Altios, inviting CXOs and senior leaders to participate in a survey for a white paper titled “Doing Business in Distribution: Insights from Global Leaders,” on 26th June’ 2025.
  • Member Survey:  ISCC, in collaboration with M+V Altios and supported by Kotak Mahindra Bank, launched a survey-based initiative to gather CXO insights on cultural and leadership dynamics among Spanish companies in India. The findings will be published in a strategic report at the ISCC AGM on 19thSeptember 2025. Launched on 30th June’ 2025.
